Stonehenge
A tribute to the world's paramount megalithic monument
It is simply impossible to write about Stonehenge without emotion and, more precisely, without a sense of both human greatness and human smallness. Stonehenge proves that our ancestors were those great people who acquired the right to a different evolution based in their own intelligence and reason. Their thinking gave birth to a culture that manifested in dolmens and other megalithic monuments. And yet when we visit Stonehenge we can't help to feel small as well, small in comparison to what the whole human history is all about. Although this website is mostly devoted to megalithism in the Iberian Peninsula, it would be impossible for us not to make this short mention and pay this heartfelt tribute to that magical circle, that incredible cathedral of our foreparents, that impressive monument to the human mind, Stonehenge.
